Yet again Facebook comes up trumps! The new Messages function will definitely push more people to use Facebook as an everyday conversation tool. Clearly the functionality available is already used across a number of online platforms. What Facebook has done is evolved this functionality into a neatly packaged app. Seamless messaging with conversations linked around people, will provide many of us with an easy to use time saving tool. No longer will we need to remember the subject of that important email, or was it an MMS or even a DM on Twitter?

There has been much excitement of late about the "All new Twitter". Like all things new, it promises to provide much more, much better, much faster etc. etc. You get the idea! So what is actually happening behind all the  buzz or should we say tweet tweet:

Check out the updated video "Social Media Revolution". With the fast growing rates in the Social Media, is no surprise that the stats presented in this video will soon be outdated. E.g. By the time the video was done, Facebook had 350 Million users, more actual stats, at the time this post was written, Facebook has 500 Million users.

En "Viral Campaign" behöver inte vara en kul film upplagd på YouTube. Det kan till exempel vara innehållet i en rubrik som inom loppen av fyra dagar sprider sig till över 150 000 sajter och bloggar.

I syfte att marknadsföra nordöstra Queensland i Australien byggdes kampanjen “The Worlds Best Job”. Denna var en del i att bugga varumärket “The Islands of the Great Barrier Reef” som ska sätta Queensland på kartan globalt. Steg ett i att sätta samman kampanjen var att skapa ett jobb, en tjänst, som skulle kännas för bra för att vara sann. Men det skulle vara en riktig tjänst som; Ta hand om ön, mata fiskarna, rengöra en pool, blogga lite och leva ett skönt liv i en lyxig villa i en miljö som för många ser ut som paradiset på jorden.

The 4G network will be a reality by the end of 2010. This new promising network will increase drastically data transfer speeds.

Each new generation comes with a fundamental upgrade to the previous one. 2G offered a digital service compared to the 1G. 3G offer multimedia support. And 4G offers increased data speeds up to 1 Gbits/s for stationary devices and 100 Mbits/s for mobile devices.

Today Google launched their Social Media Tool call "Buzz". For the last weeks the rumor that Google was going to enter the Social Media World started. It is not surprise that the Search Engine Giant is interested in the Social Media. As we know already, Google has been pioneer in different projects and it's interest of exploring different areas has never been a problem for them. I would actually say that Google entered a bit late. Social Media leaders are well established at the moment, but in this online market that is no guaranty at all.

Web analytics have getting more and more popular and this year will not be the exception. Analytics are not limited any more to just Web Browsers in PCs. Flurry, a mobile analysts company recently invested US$7 Million. It's software can be embedded for free on Smartphones (iPhone, Blackberry, Android) and let's developers track how many times their applications are launched, geo-information about the visitors, time spent on an application, etc.
